Working for Marcus- September 2023

Alcester Town Council is pleased to announce it has been successful in receiving funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to deliver some training in schools for pupils, teachers and parents/community leaders. The Town Council intends to work in partnership with Alcester Youth Project and Loudmouth to offer the training, called ‘Working for Marcus’ which is all about using drama and discussion workshops to help young people increase their knowledge and ability to safeguard themselves against child exploitation, grooming and exploitation into crime eg. knife crime and county lines.

The project delivered a session on 13 September 2023 to all parents and local professionals/ community members so they can recognise and support any young person experiencing any of the above.
