Councillor Clive Neal-Sturgess
I am a semi-retired Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Physicist. I am a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Committee on Transport Safety. I joined the Council in 2011, over concerns about the Greig Hall, and have worked tirelessly on Council business ever since.
I was appointed Mayor in May 2015 and enjoyed my year serving the community. I have served as Chair of the Planning Committee and Vice-Chair of the Alcester Neighbourhood Plan Steering Committee. I am currently a Trustee/Clerk of the Newport’s School Foundation, and a member of Alcester Neighbourhood Watch. I also represent the Town Council on the Warwickshire Association of Local Councils (WALC) and from there I have been appointed to the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
